Sheema: The Principal of Ryakasinga Centre for Higher Education (CHE) Rev Canon Duncans Mugumya has urged youth especially talented students to cut their pride and use their talents productively.

Rev. Mugumya made these remarks in a one on one interview with our reporter at Ryakasinga CHE where he advised the youth to bend down and read their books saying talent without education can’t make someone richer.
“There is no way you will be bought by foreign teams like Arsenal when you are not educated or when you don’t know English, therefore sit down and read books, stop being proud, use your talent productively and pray to God for blessings,” Rev Duncans said.

He refuted rumors that footballers and athletes in most schools are the dullest students saying that’s not true.
He added that there are examples of the best footballers during their school time who are now successful in their lives.
“Hahaaaa, this is a pure lie because I have uncountable examples of those who were footballers in their school time and are now big people in this country. Let me tell you, I have records of Sheema District performance in UNEB exams since 2015, I see many failures, should i say that all were footballers or athletes?, even if we go to class now, we shall find that some classes are academically let by footballers,” Rev. Duncans added.

He later warned parents to stop refusing their children from participating co-curriculum activities especially sports saying that everyone can’t be of the same profession, that therefore parents should leave their children to use their God given gifts.
