People Power pressure group leader Robert Kyagulanyi commonly known by his stage name Bobi Wine, who is also the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, has vehemently condemned the brutality meted unto Col. Dr Kizza Besigye by police in Kira municipality on Monday.

Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) four time presidential contender Besigye had gone to Namboole to attend an FDC conference when police blocked him, fired water canons at him, before smashing his car and violently pulling him out together with his driver Katto before they rushed them to Nagalama police station.

However, the brutal police acts committed against Dr Besigye have attracted wide criticisms among the public, and one of those who strongly condemned them is Bobi Wine himself,he wrote thus on social media;

“I condemn in the strongest terms, this savage, cruel and brutal treatment of Dr. @kizzabesigye1 by the Uganda Police. It is totally unacceptable for political leaders to continue being treated in this manner by the Museveni regime. This impunity has to end. Totally unacceptable”

Prior to being water bombed, Besigye had gone with several other FDC stalwarts to Namboole, where they were slated to hold a conference, which was however thwarted by security forces.

The police later fired water canons at Besigye which almost ejected him out of his vehicle.

After weakening him,some heartless police officers were seen pulling Besigye out of his car before they bundled him onto a police truck that whisked him away to Nagalama police station.
