Kampala: Popular musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, who is the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, has released a song dedicated to policemen and soldiers who often brutally arrest him.
In Bobi Wine’s new song titled ‘Afande’, he sings about police and security men who are fighting him yet he is fighting for them. While commenting about the song which is already doing rounds on local and international airwaves, Bobi Wine, who was under house arrest since Easter Monday until Thursday w
hen he escaped from the police at his home, writes thus; “Dear friends, I used the past two days under house arrest to compose a song which I now dedicate to our men in uniform. While we are very grateful for the sacrifices they make to keep us and our country safe, we implore them to stop being used to violate the rights of the citizens. Enjoy and Share.
“Afande, I am not fighting you, I am fighting for you”, Bobi Wine sings in the song.” He however also noted that “I applaud #KimXp and the original magician #DanMagic for dedicating their whole to produce the Audio and Video in such a short time. Big up!”
