Kingston, Jamaica: “I feel re- energized by the sounds of freedom that reverberate from the show to the world;” were the words of Kyadondo East Legislator, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine after performing at the Rebel Salute 2019 reggae concert in Jamaica.
Bobi Wine represented Uganda and Africa at the prestigious reggae festival. ‘‘It was an honor to meet and interact with the legends of reggae music for generations. Most of the music on that stage was conscious music,” he said. The event that was attended by a mammoth crowd was held at the Grizzly’s Plantation Cove in St Ann, Jamaica. Dressed in his new fashion design, the ‘Red Ribbon ‘outfit, Bobi Wine,
who was accompanied by his Fire Base Crew didn’t disappoint. Like he always does, the firebrand MP and self-claimed Ghetto President lashed out at the ruling NRM which he accused of allegedly oppressing the citizens. He said it is unfortunate that government now can’t allow him to use his music to send his message loud and clear and to help lift the masses from abject poverty. He hailed the Jamaican artistes for their music which he said has helped shape him as a person
