Breaking! Buganda Kingdom Ndiga Clan Head Eng. Daniel Bbosa Shot Dead

The latest sad news landing on our news desk indicate that Buganda Kingdom’s sheep (Ndiga) clan head Lwomwa Daniel Bbosa has been shot dead by yet to be identified assailants who were moving on a motorcycle.

Daniel Bbosa was shot dead this evening as he entered his home in Lungujja, Lubaga division. The sad incident has been confirmed by Buganda Kingdom through its official X account.

Acccording to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy police spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan, the incident occurred today at approximately 6:00 pm in Kikandwa Zone, Lungujja Parish, Lubaga Division.

“The incident involved Mr. Daniel Bbosa, the esteemed head of Ndiga clan and director of Transa Electrical. Mr. Bbosa was fatally shot by yet-to-be-identified assailants as he was approaching his residence,” Owoyesigyire said in a Sunday police statement shortly after the incident.

Owoyesigyire further confirmed that the assailants were riding on a motorcycle when they opened fire at Mr. Bbosa’s motor vehicle, Reg No UAH 637X killing him on spot.

“During the heinous act, a vigilant local resident bravely intervened, knocking down the assailants’ motorcycle and alerting the community. Swiftly, members of the community mobilized, leading to a confrontation with the assailants. Mob justice ensued, resulting in the death of one assailant at the scene, while the other remains in critical condition. (Tramadol) ” he added.

However, Owoyesigyire noted that the motive behind murder was still unknown and that efforts were underway to identify and apprehend the assailants still at large.

Additionally the gun used in the shooting was also recovered by police, along with the motorcycle registration number UEX 754E which will be instrumental in the ongoing police investigation.
