Kampala, Kololo: There was a moment of chaos at the declaration of the elected speaker of the 11th parliament, Jacob Oulanyah an event held at Kololo ceremonial grounds as some legislators led by Kalungu’s Joseph Ssewungu and Mityana’s Francis Zaake alleged that there were some commandos of special forces command who had swung into parliamentary chambers despite being non-members of the legislature.
This was however quickly dealt with, after the chief of all armed forces, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni ordered them out immediately before the Chief Justice who was the presiding official for the sitting something that SFC responded to thus resumption of the event.
Meanwhile, the long-awaited speakership race has finally come to an end with Jacob Oulanyah announced as the fully elected speaker of the 11th parliament with 310 against Kadaga’s 197 votes and FDC”s Semujju Nganda 15 votes.
