Although Robert Kabushenga, CEO to Government major media house, The Vision Group this morning revealed that he was ‘retiring’ in 90 days, our impeccable sources within the corridors of power, on condition of anonymity have eavesdropped to TheSpy Uganda reporter that actually, the man from Kabale hills was fired by number one citizen but agreed with his (Kabushenga) pleas to give him a ‘soft landing’ to appear like he is resigning, in order to salvage his image, which the president didn’t object to, according to sources.

Remember, in his ‘victory speech’ immediately after being declared the winner of the just concluded presidential race, president Museveni, looking physically tough and tired of ‘Bayuda’ in his regime, warned that he was not going to have mercy anymore. “This is to let you know that for personal reasons, I have asked the Board for early retirement and this has been accepted. However, the Board has asked me to manage the transition for the next 90 days which I have agreed to do,” partly reads Kabushenga’s email to staff.
According to our source in state House, the son of Amos Kaguta is not happy with Kabushenga on the ‘360 degrees’ of opposition coverage his multimedia platforms gave to the opposition in the just concluded general elections.
Compared to the other Government mouthpiece, UBC and all its outlets, Museveni harbours that Kabushenga’s led administration under ‘performed’ on the side of Government and instead amplified opposition, especially when they relayed all the footages of security beating up, teargassing opposition figures, especially Museveni’s main challenger Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and FDC’s Patrick Oboi Amuriat, our reliable source indicated.
The source also disclosed that the president’s private secretary and Pan-Africanist David Mafabi could be poised for the new job. Mafabi was a loyal student and ally to fallen renowned Pan-Africanist Tajudeen in Pan-Africanism.
“Muzei’s blue-eyed boy David Mafabi is on his way at the vision group, I’m telling you,” the source revealed.
Tajudeen Abdul-Raheem was the general secretary of the Pan-African Movement, director of Justice Africa, Deputy Director of United Nations Millennium Campaign for Africa, as well as a writer for newspapers and journals across Africa born.

Museveni, in one of his closed-door meetings with Kabushenga sometime back before the general elections it was heard by our spy complaining to Kabushenga that in spite of managing the ‘loudest’ Government media house, he has not used it to champion some of his ideologies like his Pan-African cause but instead they are busy escalating immorality.

It wasn’t clear whether Museveni was specifically talking about Bukedde TV’s ‘Abanoonya’ or Urban’s then Scoop on Scoop show where a presenter would come on air and abuse every living an non-living thing.
Since it has the biggest viewership Museveni wants Mafabi to give Pan-Africanism related content ample space on Government media house and should have a good working relationship with the National Broadcaster, UBC to ‘connive’ on some projects of national interest.
Former president’s press secretary, mortal mouthed Joseph Tamale Mirundi is among those who have been openly criticizing Kabushenga’s work methods both in the public fora and before the president whenever he got an opportunity.
