President Museveni has appointed John Musinguzi Rujoki as the Uganda Revenue Authority Commissioner General, replacing Doris Akol.
“By virtue of powers granted to me by the Constitution, I have appointed John Musinguzi Rujoki as the new Commissioner General of URA. This appointment takes immediate effect,” Museveni posted on his social media pages on Sunday, March 29.
Mr. Musinguzi holds a Master’s degree in Computing and Information systems of the University of Greenwich and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics of Makerere University.
Mr Museveni has also appointed a new deputy governor of the Bank of Uganda, following the expiry of Dr Louis Kasekende’s contract.
“I have also appointed Dr Michael Atingi-Ego as the new Deputy Governor, Bank of Uganda. I have forwarded his name to Parliament for vetting,” Mr Museveni announced.
