Britania Allied Industries Ltd, pioneer manufacturers of house hold natural fruit juice-Splash will commission their 1st production of bottled Splash (PET) in January 2019,TheSpy Uganda exclusively reports.
This was revealed by the company’s Director Finance and majority shareholders’ representative from the Libyan Government, Mr.Mohammad Elizhorgani. Elizhorgani revealed this two weeks ago while hosting Minister without portfolio Al-Haji Abdul Naduli who was on atour at the company’s head office in Ntinda Industrial area.
“As a matter of fact, we have already injected in another whooping US$ 5.3Million (approx. UGX20 Billion) in a new plant to start the production of bottled Splash and our 1st production will start early January 2019.This is to confirm to you that our bond[Libya]with Uganda is stronger and stronger. And our relationship with Uganda has along history by the way,” revealed Mr.Mohammed.
Bottled splash, once on the market will be competing with Coca Cola’s Minute maid Riham’s Ona and imported Afia among other juices.
Currently, Splash is only packed in tetra pack materials in 150ml,250ml and 1Ltr sizes. The tetra pack has a silver lining inside that controls temperatures favourable for its longevity in its natural taste.
On behalf of Government, Minister Naduli promised conducive environment for all foreign investors to boost local economy.
“The Government is committed to ‘ironing out’ all bottlenecks that hamper local manufacturers from steady progress but we will go step by step. Our Gov’t has done a lot in attracting good foreign investors like you and it’s still work in progress,” he said.
Naduli also a head and boasted that he has the president’s attention on his side having been together in the Luwero triangle bushes between 1981 and 1986.
“I want you to have confidence in me that when you talk to me, you’ve talked to the president. I have been with the president for long, we were together in the bushes of Luwero, and we’re still tightly together even now. When I tell him something, he knows I’m genuine, and by the way he knows I’m older than him by two years, I was born in 1942 whereas he was born in 1944. For now I’m going to use my powers in Luwero as minister and former LC5 there, and as a child of that place to mobilize all farmers to start growing mangoes, passion fruits etc, so that even that local farmer becomes part and parcel of Buy Uganda Build Uganda,” Naduli said.
Britania produces Splash in flavours of mango,Passion,Pinaeaple, Apple,Orange,Pina-Colada from coconut, Tropical fruit punch, Fruit Cock-tail and Simply-Hibi from Hibiscus flowers.
They also manufacture variety of Biscuits Top up sauces and Sun-Sip among others.
The Company’s General Manager Sales & Marketing Mr.Ritesh Rajnikant Sheth in a comment said, the company was answering their customers’ needs by coming up with what they desire. “As you know,Britania is driven by customer demand, because we’re to serve them, this new packaging is another testimony that the customer is our king. And forget not, I told you previously that our customers have ‘emotional connect’ with our products, this is it,” he said.
