The much awaited launch for the two books about parenting, written by former Police spokesperson SSP Emilian Kayima finally entered 2019 records today September 26, 2019, at Hotel Africana as the most successful book launch of 2019 and highly attended by who is who in the city, Spy Uganda reports.
The event was attended by several prominent Ugandans, among them Buganda Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga who officiated the event by warning parents to stop the bad behavior of surrendering and neglecting their parental obligations to ‘uncle google’.
“Today you find these Africans referring their children to consult Mr.Google for every thing including what’s supposed to be their roles to teach children. But they don’t know what those children read from ‘uncle Google.” Mayiga said.
Apart from the Katikiro, other notable figures in attendence were tycoons Godfrey Kirumira, Ephraim Ntaganda, Police political commissar Asan Kasingye, former Army spokesperson Col.felix Kulaigye, among others.
Kayima, who is a teacher by profession, wrote two books titled ‘Omuzade no’mwana and ‘Raising great children’ which give tips on parenting in modern day Uganda.
