Kampala: Buganda Kingdom King Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II handed over cars to his 18 cultural-county chiefs (Abaami b’Amasaza) to ease on their work in the 18 counties that make up the kingdom.
The function happened yesterday when the King hosted guests during a Christmas Carols event at the Kingdom’s administration offices, Bulange, Mengo.
Employees from Buganda Kingdom institutions including Buganda Land Board, Nnabageraka Development Foundation, Buganda Royal Institute, CBS FM, Muteesa 1 Royal University among others were key entertainers of the King and Queen Sylvia Nagginda who were accompanied by Kingdom Premier Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga who thanked the King for guiding his subjects amidst difficult times.
Meanwhile, on the same event the King retired and awarded his long-serving servants; Mr. Joash Kasirye, Mr. Erick Naggenda, Mr. Gerald Kaggwa and Mr. Joseph Kiiza who actually also served Kabaka Mutebi’s father, Ssekabaka Muteesa II.
In conclusion of the event, the King lit a Christmas tree and later served his subjects majorly the staff of the Kingdom’s different organisations with cake.
