Bul Register Eighth Seasonal Win After 3-0 Wine Against Mbarara City

Musa Esenu scored all the three goals on Saturday as Bul beat Mbarara City 3-0 to register their eighth win of the season.

The former Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Soana (now Tooro United), Vipers and KCCA forward got his first after 26 minutes into the game.

Having fired blanks against Onduparaka in midweek, victory was needed for Bul to keep league leaders Vipers in sight. The Jinja side went into the game six points adrift of the summit, but well aware that three points will reduce that gap to just three since Vipers were out of action.

BUL Football Club maintained their promising start to the 2019 – 2020 Uganda Premier League with a resounding 3-0 home win over Mbarara City at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe in Jinja on Saturday.

Esenu, formerly at neighbors Busoga United broke the deadlock in the 20th minute, and by the time the clock read halftime, he had recorded his first hat trick of the season.

The three goals take Esenu’s tally to six. He is now second in the top scorers chart.

Bul will continue to dream. It doesn’t matter what everyone thinks. They will push on and just maybe the unimaginable will happen. Three points are now the difference between Peter Onen’s side and the summit with just two games to the end of the first round.

Meanwhile the Ankole Lions’ winless streak continues. They’d hoped to upset the Jinja boys since their last win came against Busoga, a Jinja side, but their hosts proved too strong.

That’s six defeats for the club which leaves them knocking on the danger zone. Police and Bright Stars loses to KCCA and SC Villa respectively mean Mbarara are still placed just above the relegation zone with 10 points.
