There was endless jubilation and merrymaking and extendee extacy on Saturday as the Bunyangabu district LC5 Chairperson Peter James Mugarama got officially married to Susan Abbo, with whom he has been cohabiting for decades without repentance.
Abbo, is a mudama from Tororo and works in the Lands Office, legal department of State House located on Okello House,the lower side of State lodge Nakasero in Kampala.
The couple exchanged their vows at Virika Cathedral on Saturday and later to St. John’s Cathedral for thanksgiving.
The couple there after hosted hundreds of their guests to a sumptuous reception lunceon at Kibiito secondary school play grounds.
Their guests included music supar stars Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleon, Ronald Mayinja among others, who mesmerized guests and brought the entire function almost to a standstill as revelers scampered to have a glimpse at the musical stars cum 2021 Kampala Lord Mayor aspirant and MP respectively.
Sources told this reporter on condition of anonymity that Entale (Mugarama), as commonly called by friends, together with Abbo have two children which they sired before tying the not.
It’s also said Abbo played a pivotal role in Mugarama’s 2016 race to marshal the LCV seat from other powerful contenders at the time, including the acting chairman at the time Peter Musinguzi from Rubona Town council.
“That lady’s financial and physical contribution in his political ladder played a very important role in leading him to where he is today,” a close friend told this reporter.
The wedding was characterized with pomp and glamour after the newly wed couple cruised around Fort Portal town and Bunyangabu in a monster black limousine.
Our Spy reveals that Mugarama and Abbo’s wedding is said to have cost over Shs200m and was attended by about more than 600 guests, including voters and supporters, friends, among others.
