Businessman Arrested For Forcing Child To Eat Stool

Kagadi: Police in Kagadi on 10 July arrested and detained an area businessman on allegations of forcing a 16 year old boy to eat Pupu.

Residents of Pacwa town in Buyaga East County, Kagadi District got shocked after receiving uncertain news and called this being heartless.

Mr Romeo Onek Ojara, the Kagadi District Police Commander confirmed the arrest and said the businessman, 45 years old found the boy in his unfinished building before forcing him to eat feaces that was found in there.
“He accused the child of defecating in his unfinished commercial house. He started assaulting the boy and forced him to eat faeces,” he said on Wednesday.

Relatives rushed the boy to Kakumiro Health Centre IV for medication because the boy wasn’t feeling well but he was later referred to Hoima Regional Referral Hospital for further management, as his health became progressively worse.
“He is out of danger at the moment, but he complains of stomach pains,” Mr Ojara said. He said the suspect is being held at Kagadi Police Station as investigations into the matter continue.

The suspect denied the allegations of forcing the boy to eat feaces, but admitted beating him up.

He faces charges of assault.
