Capt. Mike Mukula has always had keen interest in the Uganda Music industry. He is one politician who has always been there for the Ugandan Musicians.
Ugandan musicians under their umbrella body, Uganda Music Association (UMA) appointed Capt. Mike Mukula as their new patron in the music association.
UMA Chairman who also doubles as the Swanz Avenue boss Julius Kyazze announced this resolution during the “Wa Wetutuse Report” at Silver Springs Hotel in Bugolobi yesterday.
The Eastern Uganda National Resistance Movement Party (NRM) Vice Chairperson and the Ex- Health Minister Captain Mike Mukula also boosted the organization’s Sacco by donating cash worth 5 million.
Delivering his speech before the artists, Mukula highlighted the need for musicians to unite and build a formidable brand.
The former Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) Executive Director Dr. Maggie Kigozi also made a surprise attendance at the meeting and urged musicians to foster more business collaborations by partnering with UIA.
Mike Mukula is among the few politicians who always turns up on the musician’s concert invites and always never leaves before the show is done. A few days ago, he offered Bebe Cool his house to shoot his Music video entitled ‘I don’t wanna be lonely’ for free.
The meeting was attended by over 20 musicians including Edrisa Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo and Navio Kigozi while the Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine extended his apologies for his absence due to unavoidable tasks he had to handle for his constituency.
