In a historic moment for Pan-Africanism, the Founding Speaker and Chairman of the Pan African Pyramid (PAP) Andrew Irumba Katusabe, will lead an international delegation of Pan-Africanists to Burkina Faso this January 25th. The visit, a culmination of months of solidarity and shared ideals, will not only serve to strengthen bonds between Pan-African leaders but also to bestow a prestigious award on H.E. Capt. Ibrahim Traoré, recognizing him as a revolutionary front commander for Africa’s quest for self-determination and true independence.
Speaking after a high-level meeting with one of Capt. Traoré’s trusted aides, Winnie Mandela, the PAP Chairman expressed optimism and determination. “Through her, we have received the revolutionary greetings of Capt. Traoré, and we are assured of his eagerness to meet our delegation. Our visit is not just symbolic; it is a reaffirmation that Africans, both on the continent and in the diaspora, stand firmly with him in this struggle for a liberated and self-reliant Africa.”
The meeting took place on Tuesday morning at Kasubi Royal Tombs, in Kampala. “When Winnie surprised me with a call and told me that she was on her way to Kampala to discuss discuss a few things in regards to our travel, my mind ran to organizing a meeting place at a posh Hotel like Fairway Hotel or Serena. However, Winnie shocked me when she chose Kasubi Tombs! When I arrived there and asked her why, she told me that’s the place her African ancestors told her to meet me, and that she fully understood why” Irumba told our reporter.
