Charms Uganda Donates Protex Soap To MoH Frontline Workers Worth Millions Of Shillings

Kampala: Ntinda Industrial area based Charms (U) Ltd, the distributors of Protex soap has Thursday donated 1500 bars of protex soap and 10000 posters with hand washing information tips aimed at fighting the spread of COVID-19.

According to the company’s marketing manager Cynthia Njeru, the 1500 bars of protex soap were directly going to ministry of health (MoH) frontline workers at the forefront of fighting COVID-19 across the country who are at risk of contracting the disease, hence the effort to boost their hygiene with the donation.

“We know that our health workers like Nurses, Doctors and other support staff who are in direct contact with the victims do so because they want to save lives, it’s our heartfelt calling that we also protect them as they protect others, that way we shall be in this together and come out stronger together. We thought our donation should go to that category of people,” Cynthia noted. (Zolpidem online)

While receiving the items on behalf of the Permanent secretary Diana Atwine,the  Ministry of Health’s under secretary Joseph Seremba said the donation came at the right time when community spread was going high and so the donation would go along way in protecting the teams. “We want to thank you a lot,because as you are aware now,community infections have gone higher than ever before, and so our teams are on ground everyday in your communities handling these cases. Protex is well known for fighting germs and diseases like COVID-19, so this is a timely life saving act, thank you for thinking about those who save lives every day,” he said.

Protex is a family soap with antibacterial heritage that promotes a healthier life for
everyone. It is proven to help remove bacteria and other germs that cause infections  and diseases.

The Company also donated 10000 posters with educational tips to help the ministry in sensitizing the community on the best practices of washing hands, social distancing among others to avoid the spread of the pandemic.

The posters, seen by this reporter educate the masses on the best practices of reducing the risks of contracting coronavirus, by washing hands effectively for 20-40 seconds and wearing a mask whenever in public places.

The event took place at the Ministry’s headquarters located at Plot 6, Lourdel Road, Nakasero.
