Kampala: Four people perished in a terrible accident that occurred when a vehicle they were traveling in lost control, veered off the road and rammed into a tree at Kitante Golf court, in Kampala at around 12:50pm. The four,one Indian and three chines all working with water manufacturing company, Hema water in Kampala, who were traveling in vehicle registration number UBA 111E died on spot after it rammed into a tree.
Traffic police that rushed to the scene shortly after the accident identified the deceased as Kalakada Dileep , 22 , Indian National and the driver of the motor vehicle, Xu Xiang Sheng , 29 ,Chinese, Wei Ya Wei , 28 ,Chinese and Su Wei , 35 ,Chinese.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy spokesperson Luke Oweyesigire said that “Bodies of the deceased have since been taken to Mulago for postmortem and will later be handed over to the relevant Embassies to carry on with burial arrangements. He added that “More details as to what exactly caused the accident will be availed.” The vehicle was later towed away to Wandegeya police station as investigations into the matter continue.
