TheSpy Uganda’s gossip desk can reliably confirm that the light-skinned, pencil-thin, Kampala’s marketing and PR honcho Amon Baita, after beating a number of other applicants in a series of interviews, emerged the best candidate as the new Kampala road-based Ruparelia Groups’ Premier Recruitment Ltd’s Head of Marketing, Public Relations and Activations.
‘’Yah, all can now wish me a successful and impactful stay at my new job address as in charge of marketing, PR & Activations”, Let’s do this!,” Baita, who could not hide his excitement posted a cut out of his offer letter on his social media. According to our insider in Mr.Rajiv Ruparelia’s office, who is the MD for Ruparelia Group of companies, Baita’s take-home is at least in the region of millions. “We can’t reveal his exact salary, but just know the digits are many and in millions, that’s enough tip,” revealed our source.

The youthful mass communication graduate from Kampala International University (KIU) comes to Premier Recruitment Ltd with over 10 years of experience in Sales, Multi-Media Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations, having worked at the legendary tabloid The RedPepper in various capacities, first as a reporter shortly after his campus in 2011. He would soon become a sales agent in the advertising department and later a section Sales Manager (SMES) before going into private business in 2017 and to focus on his career development as a Public Relations’ Consultant, which he has with no doubt achieved.
Amon, together with his other former colleagues at the Namanve based pepper publications Ltd (RedPepper), including William Taddewo Ssenyonyi and Emannuel Bazooba would later co-found online news site, www.businessfocus.co.ug, under Spotlight Publications Ltd.

Premier Recruitment Company is a human resource consultancy firm under The Rupaleria Group that deals in both internal and external recruitments, and we are told the Director Rajiv Rupaleria has since among other tasks as per his appointment, tasked Amon to recruit and increase numbers in external wing and company visibility across the country.
Sources also intimated to us that Amon was backed-up with another ‘all-rounder’, Rehema Nakiryowa, who is now the Agents’ manager in-charge of building agents structure countrywide. Rehema previously worked with Exim Bank and ICEA Insurance Companies respectively and commands a good knowledge of agents system having worked in the Banking and Insurance sector for a couple of years.
