Coach Byekwaso Draws Positives From Uganda’s Goalless Draw With Saudi Arabia

Saudi: Uganda played to a non-scoring draw with Saudi Arabia at the Prince Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Stadium in Riyadh city on Friday evening.

It was a game where both teams exhibited quality defensively in the tactical organization as many scoring opportunities were foiled.

Uganda’s head coach Morley Byekwaso granted playing time for many of the youngsters as he tried out the different playing formations with several players.

Byekwaso was full of praise for the team as he emphasized the tactical discipline with the need to seek goals going forward.

”We thank God that the match was well played and no injuries got. I thank the players who endured the high temperatures to soldier on. We are now heading for the second build up as we continue to prepare for the CECAFA senior challenge cup. We shall put several grey areas right,” Byekwaso disclosed.

The second build-up match will be played on 5th July 2021 at the same venue.
