Coach Micho Names 32 Man Squad To Battle Rwanda Amavubi Stars In FIFA World Cup 2022

Kampala: Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic has named a pool of 32 players to face Rwanda Amavubi Stars in the up-coming FIFA World Cup 2022 group E double header.

The Squad has both local and foreign based players that will further be trimmed before travel to Rwanda.

Goalkeepers Isima Watenga and Charles Lukwago, Timothy Denis Awany, Fahad Bayo, Isaac Muleme, Moses Waiswa, Khalid Aucho, Tadeo Lwanga and Mustafa Kizza are the foreign based players in the squad.

Lukwago is already in the country while the rest of the foreign based players will start reporting to camp on Sunday, 3rd October 2021 in preparation for both matches.

There are 23 players who ply their trade in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League in the squad currently camped at the Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisaasi.

Vipers’ defender Livingstone Mulondo is among the local legion of players on the team

Meanwhile, the team training resumes on Friday morning at Lugogo in Kampala.

Uganda Cranes has two points from the first two games in group E, earned against Kenya (away) and Mali (home).
