Col.Deo Akiiki Appointed Military Assistant to CDF Gen.Muhoozi

Col. Deo Akiiki, a seasoned military officer and former Deputy Army Spokesperson, has been appointed as the Military Assistant to the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, in a strategic move signaling his continued rise within the ranks of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF).

Col. Akiiki first gained public prominence as the Deputy Defence and Army Spokesperson, a role that placed him at the center of military communications, handling critical national security narratives, managing media relations, and defending the institution’s image amidst national and regional security challenges.
