The latest landing on our desk from Kyadondo plot 10 which is NRM Party’s headquarters indicates that Deputy Speaker Anita Annet Among, Deputy Attorney General Jackson Kafuuzi and Arua Central MP Hon.Atima Jackson have declared their interests in a speakership job.
Meanwhile, although Among sent her Personal Assistant to NRM Party’s Electoral Commission to register her intentions to stand for speakership citing that she was sick, the same ‘sick’ was seen at the parliament at the same time signing in the obituary book for Oulanyah’s demise. She actually even attached the medical admission form on her papers to EC C/M Tanga Odoi. When Odoi was asked by the media to comment on the matter, he said he was taking what she sent (paper) as proof. He also said he didn’t see her at parliament since he was at Kyadondo receiving candidates.
Others that have shown interests include Sarah Opendi Achieng who is Woman MP Tororo district and Dokolo South County MP Hon.Felix Okot Ogong.
Also; Hon Theodore Sekikubo, Hon.Oboth Oboth who is MP West Budama Central County and Hon.Kintu Alex Brandon who is MP Kagoma North-Jinja have presented their papers for the speakership job.
