Uganda Cranes will lock horns with the hosts South Africa in the Plate Semi-final on Tuesday 4th June at the Moses Mabhida stadium.
After both sides were eliminated from the main tournament, they dropped into the Plate contest where they will face one another on Tuesday, for a place in the final.
South Africa threw away their 2-0 lead before losing to Botswana 5-4 on penalties.
Uganda fell to Lesotho 3-2 on penalties on Saturday following a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes.
It was a disappointing game for the Cranes who dominated from start to finish but kept on missing clear-cut chances.
The Plate competition is a classification criteria for all the losing quarter finalists in the COSAFA tournament.
Comoros and Malawi will battle it out in the second Plate semi-final.
The eventual winners at the semi-final stage will face off in a final where the champions bag 100,000 Rands.
The COSAFA Cup or COSAFA Senior Challenge is an annual tournament for teams from Southern Africa organized by Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA), inaugurated after the ban against the Republic of South Africa had been lifted and the African Cup of Nations had been staged there in 1996.
