The result, comes on the back of a 11-0 victory Uganda recorded against Mauritius and the Ayub Khalifa coached team tops their group with seven points – Uganda opened with a 1-1 draw with Zambia.
Juliet Nalukenge bagged seven goals, taking her tally to 14 goals. Margaret Kunihira (5), Shakira Nyinagahirwa (4) and Fauzia Najjemba (4) all bagged hat-tricks.

“We wanted many goals, and we have achieved our target. We now shift our focus to the semis and thereafter,” noted coach Ayub.

“I am very happy, the girls put up a good performance. Am very impressed. I told them earlier that we have to score more and they have delivered.”

Uganda, who are guests at the tournament, reach the semifinals where they will wait for Wednesday’s final round of Group B fixtures to learn their next feat.
