From her Hospital bed at Kiruddu Hospital in Makindye Division, no-nosense Police from CID Headquarters in Kibuli on Thursday made a surprise when they served the Mukono municipality legislator Betty Nambooze with a court order demanding to seize her phones, computer and Ipads to help with investigations relating to the death of MP Ibrahim Abiriga and his brother earlier this month!
The order states that the equipment will be held for over fourteen days subject to renewal of the time by the court.
The court order signed by learned Chief magistrate His worship Karemani Jamson arises from a criminal miscellaneous application No.101 of 2018 by CID Headquaters, Kibuli asking the honorable court to compel Nambooze submit in the aforementioned gadgets to facilitate police in its investigations.
“It’s here by ordered that;
- The respondent’s computers,mobile phones,tablets be retrieved and used in investigations in this case.
- That will not be held for more than 14 days subjest to renewal by this court,” read the court order.

Nambooze,who is fighting for her dear life at Kiruddu Hospital is being investigated in connection with her social media posts about the gruesome murder of former Arua municipality MP Ibarahim Abiriga and his brother a few weeks ago in Kawanda,Wakiso district.
