Kampala: Uganda’s COVID-19 cases has crossed to 657 resulting from samples tested on 08 June 2020 that confirmed 11 new cases.
According to the ministry of health, all new confirmed cases are Ugandans and among these include 5 truck drivers who arrived from Malaba and Elegu, 6 cases who are among contacts and alerts from Amuru and Kyotera Districts
Ministry also tweeted that all samples of health workers tested negative for COVID-19.
“All the 34 foreign truck drivers tested positive for COVID-19”Ministry tweeted.
Total samples tested from Points of Entry were one thousand four hundred twelve (1,412).
Whereas samples from alerts and contacts were 878 and samples from health workers were 46.
Uganda’s COVID-19 total recoveries are now 118 and no death.
