COVID-19: Uganda Added On Northern Ireland’s Red List After MoH Registering 75537 Cases

Uganda has been added to the Northern Ireland (NI) red list, which mandates 11 nights of hotel quarantine due to Coronavirus surge.

Eritrea and Mongolia have also been added in the latest red list reshuffle after countries cases shooting higher.

According to reports, changes from the NI government’s latest travel traffic light reshuffle will come into effect from 4am on Wednesday 30 June.

These come after Uganda’s Ministry Of healthy announcing that results of COVID-19 tests done on 22 June 2021 confirmed 1,277 new cases bringing the cumulative confirmed cases to 75,537.

The breakdown of the new cases are: Kampala (553) Wakiso (99) Mbarara (87) Jinja (51) Mpigi (38) Kamuli (36) Iganga (31) Kalungu (25) Luwero (24) Soroti (22) Katakwi (21) Bugiri (34) Kabale (20) Tororo (20) Ntungamo (13) Mbale (14) Masaka (13) Ngora (12) Gomba (13) Serere (11) Nakasongola (13) Mukono (11) Kyotera (11) Pallisa (10) Kiryandongo (10) Rukiga (9) Sembabule (6) Kayunga (6) Buvuma (6) Kumi (6) Mayuge (5) Buikwe (5) Amudat (5) Sheema (4) Kabarole (4) Rakai (3) Rubanda (3) Gulu (2) Bundibugyo (2) Moyo (2) Manafwa (4).

Others were from; Dokolo (2) Mukono (2) Kitagwenda (1) Abim (1) Busia (1) Rwampara (1) Kanungu (1) Adjumani (1) Namisindwa (1), 2 Truck Drivers: Malaba (1) Elegu (1).
