Kampala: World’s friendliest Airline, Uganda Airlines has today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) where the national carrier will be the official carrier of the motorsport members.
The event was held today afternoon at Victoria University’s parking space, graced by Uganda Airline Acting Chief Executive Officer Jenifer Bamuturaki, FMU’s President Dipu Ruparelia and commissioners from the Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Education and Sports respectively.
According to our spy who managed to peep into the MoU, FMU members will enjoy a 15% discount on every economy flight and a juicy cargo discount on top of other sumptuous offers.

Sharing a word with our reporter, Ag CEO Uganda Airlines Ms Jenifer Bamuturaki noted that all they are innovating including the FMU deal is meant to bring the Airlines services down to that Ugandan who is in the rural area. ”It’s not a secret that there are some Ugandans down in our villages who don’t know that Uganda Airlines is even in existence and this is why we are partnering with FMU since its activities deal with the ordinary people,” noted Bamuturaki.
The innovative Bamuturaki further noted that they’re not only partnering with local companies and federations but also international Airlines something she said is meant to boost the carrier’s publicity both at the local and international level.

”Uganda Airlines is already in talks with other international Airlines to boost our sales. Also, these Airlines will be training our staff and we can as well sell our passengers to them since they have a number of destinations than us,” noted Bamuturaki.
In his remarks, FMU President Dipu Ruparelia commended Uganda Airlines for valuing sports and for specifically deciding to partner with FMU amongst other sports federations before he appealed to Ugandans to support their own [Uganda Airlines].
”On behalf of FMU we are so privileged to have signed a partnership today with the world’s friendliest Airline, the Uganda Airlines and we pledge total support to our own of course but also I call upon Ugandans please let’s this time say, ‘Fly Uganda, Build Uganda’,” noted Ruparelia.
It is with noting that carrier ever since its launch has been partnering with national sports teams among them including Uganda Cranes, Cricket T-20 team, Athletics, Express FC.
Uganda Airlines is making swift progress since the new Ag Bamuturaki’s take over, with a huge footprint on the continents air spaces and with the launch of its inaugural flight to Dubai this week.

This will be the first commercial flight of Uganda Airlines out of Africa. Since 2019, it has been operating in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, South Africa, South Sudan, and Tanzania.
With a three-cabin layout that only has 20 business class lie-flat seats, 28 premium economy seats, and 210 economy class seats, there should be plenty of legroom no matter where you are seated.
