BUKEDEA: All roads will lead to Bukedea on Thursday for a do or die affair as Bukedea Town Council hosts league debutants Light SS in the Teso derby at Emokori Playground, Bukedea.
Both teams will face off in the StarTimes Uganda FUFA Big League in a highly anticipated epic game as either side seek for supremacy in Teso province.
Light SS has had a fine start to the season after scooping 11 points from 6 previous games while Bukedea has had a disappointing start to the season after managing only 4 points from 5 games, losing two, drawing one and wining one
Bukedea TC will however get into a match watch battle with winning hope and motivation after their commanding 0-2 victory against UPDF FC away from home. However, for the Lighters, they will be aiming to bounce back having drawn their previous game against Kataka FC in Mbale.
Ahead of this imminent fixture, Bukedea T/C got boosted with the return of Dan Okia (Nasri) from injury.
“We are not afraid of Light SS, the most important thing is that its a fixture and we need to honour it, we are going to play according to the demand of the technical team and I think we can overcome the ‘so called derby’. But it’s not a big game for us and we shall just go to enjoy ourselves,” said Bukedea’s Captain Simon Misaki Opio ahead of the game.
Bukedea TC will rely on the services of James Okiror (Jimmy) after a fine display in the previous game against UPDF.
Whilst for the visitors, will have Godfrey Otika, Simon Peter Odeke and Nathan Oloro to help the team
