DIGP Sabiiti Assigns M7’S Appointed UPDF Officers In Police Leadership

The recently appointed Assistant Inspector Generals of Police have finally taken up their offices.

The handover ceremony was presided over by the Deputy IGP Maj. Gen Sabiiti Muzeyi at Police headquarters Naguru.
The officers who include; AIGP Brigadier Jack Bakasumba, the Chief of Joint Staff (CJS), AIGP Brigadier Godfrey Golooba (Director of Human Resource Development and Training), Col. Chris Serunjoji Damulira, (Director of Crime Intelligence) and Colonel Jese Kamunanwire (Director Human Resource Administration).

The four replaced AIGP Haruna Isabirye who is heading to New York as the police attachée to the Ugandan Mission. AIGP Moses Balimwoyo, who now moves as Director Interpol and International Relations. Balimwoyo replaces SCP Oyo Nyeko Benson, who was Acting Director and now heads to the AFRIPOL Headquarters in Algiers as the Police Liaison Officer while SCP Chombe Amur is now Deputy Director Interpol and International Relations.


While speaking at the handover ceremony, the DIGP Maj. Gen Sabiiti welcomed the officers and urged them to feel at home.

“As security personnelI want to welcome you in this in this line of duty because police are all about serving the people.” Gen. Sabiiti said.

He also commended the outgoing officers for the job well done for the time they have served in the Directorates.

DIGP Sabiiti urged those who are going out for foreign missions to keep working hard with esteem in order to raise Uganda’s flag high in their endeavours
