Lwengo: The police in Greater Masaka sub-region are investigating circumstances under which the Lwengo local government district accountant was murdered, before his body being left lying in a bush.
Eric Ngabo, who has been an accountant with Lwengo District Local Government, went missing early this week and after a hunt for him being launched by family members, his body was recovered at Kamutuza, near late Muhigira’ s farm, along the Mbarara-Masaka Road. Â The corpse was later taken to Masaka Hospital mortuary for postmortem by police, before being handed over to relatives for burial.
However, police detectives are still perplexed about this gruesome murder, wondering who could have wanted Ngabo dead and why. Meanwhile no arrests have been  done yet, although investigation into the murder are still ongoing. By the time we went to press, the police were yet to issue a statement about this government official’s murder.
