President Donald Trump has criticized a bishop from Washington for urging him to extend compassion towards illegal immigrants and members of the LGBTQ community.

Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington made this request during her address at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday.

She expressed concern that Trump’s recent policies are instilling fear among immigrants and individuals within the LGBTQ community.

In response, Trump labeled her a hater and called for an apology in a statement released on Wednesday.

“The so-called Bishop who spoke at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday morning was a Radical Left hard line Trump hater.

“She brought her church into the World of politics in a very ungracious way. She was nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart.

“Apart from her inappropriate statements, the service was a very boring and uninspiring one. She is not very good at her job! She and her church owe the public an apology!” Trump stated.

It is noteworthy that Trump announced measures on Monday, following his second inauguration, to halt the entry of asylum seekers and to deport migrants residing in the country unlawfully.
