Sad news reaching us indicates that fallen former Ugandan President Milton Obote’s only brother, Obadiah Akaki, is dead.

According to family sources, Mzee Akaki 96, a known friend of President Yoweri Museveni, breathed his last from Akokoro, Apac district on Friday morning.

Mzee Akaki’s family members are now mourning the loss of their beloved one and details about his burial arrangements will follow shortly as they’re still discussing modalities about the same.

Akaki made headlines a few years back when he publicly refuted allegations by his brother, former president Milton Obote, that President Yoweri Museveni killed their father.

Akaki, 75,  then,  told state media The New Vision at his home in Akokoro, Apac district, that their father, Stanley Opeto, was strangled in 1987 by Karimojong cattle rustlers and buried in a 3-feet deep grave.
