Drama As Police Arrest Wrong Suspect Over Nagirinya Murder; Real Killer Calls Police, Laughs At Cops For Wrong Arrest

By Spy Uganda

Untold tragic drama is engulfing investigations into the murder of Maria Nagirinya and her driver Ronald Kitayimbwa, who were kidnapped last week and brutally murdered by unknown people.

Ronald Kitayimbwa

Shortly after the murder of Nagirinya and Kitayimbwa, the police arrested some suspects to help with investigations into the gruesome kidnap and double homicide.

Among the suspects was a city socialite identified as Fortune Ayebare Mugisha who was reportedly arrested by police under dubious circumstances.

This is because Ayebare was allegedly abducted by Internal Security Operatives from a petrol station in Kireka.

She went missing for several days and when family members started looking for her, police spokesperson Patrick Onyango came out and told the public that she is in police custody.

However, sources reveal that investigators into Nagirinya and Kitayimbwa’s murder got stunned last week when someone suspected to be the real killer called police and assured cops that they arrested a wrong person and should release Ayebare with immediate effect.

Our Spies have learnt that the Suspect called police and engaged them for over three hours, giving them details why they had arrested a wrong person (Ayebare) and even duped them about his whereabouts.

It is said that the suspected killer also pretended to be a senior police officer stationed at Naguru headquarters although when detectives went there they failed to locate him.

However, the police are yet to issue a statement about this new shocking development.

Nagirinya, a social worker, was murdered by people who trailed her from Nalumunye to her home in Lungujja-Busega, from where they kidnapped her with Kitayimbwa. Their bodies were later dumped in a swamp in Nama sub-county, in Mukono district.

The police a few days back released CCTV footage of one of the suspected killers driving Nagirinya’s car and urged the public to identify the suspect, although no one has provided information yet to help with the investigation.
