In order to engage online voters and all Ugandans with queries ahead of the 2021 General Election, the Electoral Commission has launched AskEC, a social media platform during which EC will receive questions from voters and provide feedback.

Spy Uganda has learnt that the AskEC session is starting Friday November 29, 2019 and will be conducted by EC spokesperson Jotham Taremwa.

During the same session, the EC will answer all queries about the verification of the National Voters Register, which is continuing till December 11, after it was launched on November 2019.

Taremwa, who will be receiving questions on Facebook and Twitter, will also guide eligible voters who want to change voting locations to do it, so as to avoid inconveniences in 2021 when time for voting comes.

The AskEC maiden session will be conducted tomorrow at the Commission’s offices in Kampala, during which voters who engage the EC about their registration and other matters regarding the  2021 general election will get instant feedback.
