Police fire Brigade department is investigating the mysterious fire that broke out in Kigungu Trading centre in old Kyondo Entebbe Municipality.
According to Kampala Metropolitan police spokesman ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, confirmed that one person identified as Silver Tumuhimbise died in the inferno while one Kyeyune sustained minor injuries.
“The CAA fire rescue service responded in time and extinguished the fire, the deceased’s body has been taken to Mulago for post-mortem and Kyeyune who got minor injuries is receiving treatment from a clinic with in the area,” he said.
He added that Investigations are still on going to establish the exact cause of the fire.
This is not the first fire to destroy lives and properties in Kampala and surrounding districts but what most of Ugandans demand from police is always report to know the exact causes of fires in the country.
