Ethio-Uganda Joint Ministerial Meeting Held At Munyonyo Speke Resort

Kampala: The Ugandan Ministerial consultation meeting of the Third session of the Joint Ministerial Commission btn the Republic of Uganda and the Federal Republic of Ethiopia is at Speak Resort Munyonyo.

The meeting is being attended by ministers from both Uganda and Ethiopia.

Ethiopian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedu Andargache, travelled to Kampala on Thursday to attend the third Ethio-Uganda Ministerial Joint Commission meeting.

During the meeting, the two countries are expected to sign various agreements, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.

The joint expert meeting of the two countries, which is part of the third Joint Ministerial Commission commenced on Wednesday.

The team of experts has been discussing political, security, economic and social matters and cooperation of the two countries.

The two countries formed the Ministerial Joint Commission in July 2011 to strengthen and explore new avenues of cooperation in politics, security and socio-economic sectors.

The first Ministerial Joint Commission meeting was held in Kampala, Uganda and the second in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.

Ethiopia and Uganda established official diplomatic relations in 1956 EC.
