General Edward Kale Kayihura, who is the former Inspector General of Police (IGP), has since been reduced from a man who used to command an entire police force to one who nowadays commands goats on how to graze!
Gen. Kayihura is currently holed up at his farm in Kashagama, Lyantonde district, where he is rearing exotic goats, which he loves with a passion and prides in so much that he spends most time with them.
Unlike those days when he used to discuss national security issues with the Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF) high command and other security forces, these days Kayihura oversees the safety of goats at his farm.
This revelation was made by the executive director of the Uganda Media Center Ofwono Opondo, who visited Kayihura at his farm in Kashagama on Monday
Shortly after visiting Kayihura at his farm, Ofwono Opondo posted thus on social media;
“Travelled today to Kashagama, Lyantonde to visit Comrade Gen. Kale Kayihura at his farm. 41 acres of banana and still planting on 361 acres. He is living a simple life rearing goats and growing chill.”
It should however be noted that sanctions were recently issued by the United States of America (USA) against Kayihura, his wife and children, before his assets in USA were frozen, over allegations of gross human abuse which he committed when he was still IGP.
