Ex-Vice President Ssekandi’s Health Deteriorates, Hospitalized In Dubai

Former Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi last evening was admitted at Rashid hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), TheSpy Uganda has learnt.

The above was after Ssekandi’s health deteriorated on a flight while returning back to Uganda from a holiday in the United States of America.
According to a source, Ssekandi felt uneasy on board thus landing in Dubai to first seek medical assistance.

The source reportedly at Rashid hospital said that the big man’s condition is worrying but medics were working tirelessly to save his Ssekandi’s life who is now 80yrs old.

Ssekandi is a Ugandan politician and lawyer who served as the eighth vice president of Uganda from 24 May 2011 to 21 June 2021. Prior to that, he served as the Speaker of Parliament from 2001 to 2011.

Ssekandi served as Member of Parliament for Bukoto County Central constituency from 1996 to 2021.
