Express FC continued to enjoy a fine start to the 2018-19 season with a comprehensive 3-1 victory over new entrants Paidha Black Angels at the Greenlight stadium in Arua.

Goals from Tony Odur, Ibrahim Kayiwa and first half substitute Mubarak Nsubuga ensured the revamping red eagles walked away with their third win of the season.

Odur struck as early as the 6th minute following an Eric Kambale assist to spring the Kefa Kisala coached men in the lead.

Former Proline man Andrew Kidega temporarily tied the contest at 1-1 in the 25th minute after converting from the spot following a Shafik Kakeeto foul in the forbidden area.

Express had an earlier set back when Michael Birungi got injured before he was replaced by Mubarak Nsubuga before halftime.

Ibrahim Kayiwa restored the lead for Express in the 56 minutes off Kambale’s assist.

Mubarak Nsubuga put the game beyond reach when he scored the third in the 82nd minute.

The result propels Express to fifth place on the table with 11 points. This is the third consecutive win for Coach Kefa Kisala’s side.

Paidha are now 13th with four points. The side has only won one game that came against Police FC in Arua.

Express will return to league action against Vipers as Paidha will remain at home to wait for Mbarara City FC in Match day seven
