Kasese woman member of parliament Winnie Kizza has been dropped as leader of opposition in parliament. This has now settled the dust and speculation on various social media platform that has been awash with looming reshuffle that would see POA team ‘eat big’ as Gen.Muntu’s team (those who supported his 2nd term presidency bid) is further muzzled.
In the reshuffle made by Forum for Democratic Change party president Patrick Oboi Amuriat, a leading opposition party in the house, replaced Winnie Kiiza with Gulu Woman MP, Betty Aol Ochan.
The FDC meeting led by party president Eng.Patrick Amuriat himself on Friday announced the changes at party headquarters in In Najjanankumbi and said they would take immediate effect.
Analysts contend that Winnie’s sacking is heavily grounded on the fact that she has been supporting FDC faction of former party president Mugisha Muntu while conflicting with the current leadership of POA and party founder Dr Kizza Besigye.
Meanwhile, Ssemujju Nganda has been maintained as the Chief Opposition Whip in Parliament but will be deputized by Hon Tonny Muhindo.
