Fearless Police Impersonator Netted In Nakaseke

Territorial Police in Nakaseke are investigating an impersonation case that occurred on Friday, September 1, 2023, around 1530 hours at the Semuto traffic checkpoint in Kikondo Zone, Nakaseke District.

The impersonator in question has been identified as Atwiine Allan, a 33-year-old male, residing in Busabala Zone, Makindaye Division, Kampala District.

According to preliminary findings indicate that on the mentioned date and time, Atwiine Allan arrived at the checkpoint and began impersonating a police officer, specifically claiming to be a Superintendent of Police attached to Katwe Division in Kampala Metropolitan.

However, the Officer in Charge of Traffic in Semuto became suspicious and conducted a thorough interrogation. Atwiine Allan eventually admitted to his impersonation, leading to his arrest, and a case of impersonation was formally registered.

ASP TwineAmazima Sam, the Police PRO Savannah Region says, ”further inquiries into this matter are ongoing. We strongly appeal to the public to refrain from impersonating police officers, as such actions are subject to severe penalties. If anyone encounters such impersonation, we urge you to promptly report it to the nearest authorities.”
