Finally! Burial Arrangements For Ex Capital FM DJ Ndawula Released

Alex Ndawula, a renowned Ugandan radio personality who passed on this month at the age of 59 will be buried on Sunday 10th July 2022-according o the program released Saturday.

On Friday 8th July there will be public viewing and memorial service hosted by Capital FM at their Gardens at Plot 1A Kisementi, starting at 2pm.

On Saturday 9th July there will be funeral service at Rubaga Cathedral starting at 2.00pm and on Sunday 10th July Alex will be laid to rest at Kyamaganda Village in Lwengo District at 2pm.

Ndawula who graced the airwaves of private FM stations in Uganda starting with Sanyu FM before moving to Capital FM, which swept in by the early 90s liberalization, died Monday June 6th evening at Nsambya hospital in Kampala.

In 2017, Alex Ndawula announced his retirement from radio after working with Capital FM for over 20 years.

A farewell party was organized in which the radio legend was reportedly gifted with a Toyota Prado and a cash prize of UGX30million as gratitude for the years he had been at the station.

However, he would announce his comeback the following year 2018, this time joining Jazz FM in Ntinda, and co-hosting an evening show with his former co-presenter, Christine Mawadri

Ndawula and Christine rocked the Capital FM airwaves in the 1990s and 2000s with the famous morning show, where they were later joined by Oualanyah Columbus.The trio were for several years voted the best breakfast show team.
