Former Cranes Midfielder Steven Bengo Retires From Football

Kampala: Former KCCA, Express and Wakiso Giants Midfielder Steven Bengo has finally hung his boots.

Bengo has announced his retirement earlier on Thursday September 19, 2019 at Tarven Woods Kabusu, as he went on to reveal his best time in Ugandan football.

He further gave his best IX ever in Ugandan football as follow; Denis Onyango (G.K), Simeon Masaba, Godfrey Walusimbi, Ibrahim Ssekagya, Mike Azira, Oscar Agaba, Steven Bengo, Augustine Nsumba, Dan Wagaluka, Geofrey Sserunkuma, David Obua.

Bengo has had an illustrious career that has been painted with moments of brilliance both at the local league and national level.

He was commonly know for his soft skills on the ball and had a chance to feature for clubs like KCCA, Express, Soana , Tanzanian Club Yanga, Kenya’s Nakumat FC and newly promoted Wakiso Giants.

Speaking about Bengo with who he shared moments on the Uganda Cranes team, Brian Umony lauded the player for his awesome career.
“My atmost respect and support towards Bengo Steven aka ‘Bengoman Zaga’ upon his retirement from football..you’ve played yo part Bro. Can’t wait to support your activities as you enjoy yo fantastic retirement,” he wrote on his social media.
