Kampala, Uganda: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Emilian Kayima, who has been the Uganda Police mouthpiece, has been replaced with Commissioner of Police (CP) Fred Enanga, who was formerly serving in the same position.
The shake up was ordered by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Martins Okoth Ochola on Saturday January 12th, 2019 and would take immediate effect.
Sources at Naguru police headquarters told TheSpy that CP Enanga will be deputized by Assistant Commissioner of police (ACP) Polly Namaye.
Kayima has since been appointed In-charge of publications while SP Patrick Onyango bounced back as Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson.
Enanga and Namaye were police spokespersons but were dropped, taken for further training by former IGP Gen. Kale Kayihura in 2016 and replaced with AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi (RIP), who was killed in March 2017.
