After qualifying for the last 16 of the Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup last week, Edward Golola’s Tororo United brought the same energy to the big league to overcome Terrazo and Tiles 2-0 at Buhinga Stadium, Fort portal on Thursday.
Both goals came in the first half of the game with Marvin Oshaba slotting home from the spot in the 26th minute and Julius Pilot sealed the victory for the hosts.

Elsewhere, in the Elgon group,Gaddafi Football Club edged Blacks Power 3-2 to earn their second victory of the 2021 FUFA Big League this season.
Mark Bamukyaaye, James Otim and Frank Mulimi scored for Gaddafi who are now managed by an interim coach, Hassan Zzungu.
Blacks Power, formerly known as Bukedea Town Council scored through their Nigerian Innocent Maduka.
Maduka scored the opener after 33 minutes before Bamkyaaye got the equalizer on the stroke on half time with a well struck penalty.
Gaddafi were put in the lead by Otim in the 54th minute but the joy was short-lived after Mulimi found the winner with 12 minutes to play and grabbed the maximum points.
This was the second win for Gaddafi in 4 matches after their opening 1-0 victory on match day one against Mbale Heroes.
