FUFA Progressed From 8 Man Team In 2013 To 60 Man Strong Labor Force Courtesy Of Moses Magogo’s Focused Leadership-Report

Kampala: In a bid to answer a question raised by most Ugandans about the swift growth of Ugandan football through the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) since Eng. Moses Magogo’s take over from 2013, TheSpy Uganda has exclusively discovered that the FUFA Executive has been at the forefront to approve proposals by the CEO for the recruitment of more qualified personnel at the Secretariat.

In a bid to improve services, FUFA expanded its Secretariat work to the eight regional football offices by hiring 8 General Secretaries taking FUFA’s full time Job from eight in 2013 to sixty workholic labour force currently. One of the former footballers this reporter interacted with at FUFA house on Tuesday actually ‘faulte’ Magogo for keeping quiet about his achievements, which has given his critics chance to over shadow them. “By nature, Magogo doesn’t talk much, and also I think his Education, because Engineers by nature talkless and work more. His critics are using that ‘weakness’ but what he has dine so far no any other Fufa leader has ever done them,” this former Cranes player revealed.

The Staff help in running the ever-increasing activities and serving the football family at the Secretariat for effective service delivery.

In addition to the full-time staff employees, the Secretariat offers opportunities for Internships and volunteerism programs. ”Currently, there are 5 interns and volunteers in different departments,” revealed one of the staff.

2013-To Date FUFA Highlights

  • Created Human Resource Manual that spells out the entitlements of Executive, Delegates,
    Standing Committee members and staff.
  • FUFA Medical Insurance cover is provided to the Delegates, staff, UPL Clubs’ players and FIFA
    referees.
  • Produced the FUFA Procurement Manual which is operational. We are also compliant with the
    standard procurement guidelines acceptable to Government procedures.
  • Estates- we have increased assets like Uganda Cranes buses, Buildings, furniture, land,
    equipment that need proper management and must be in safe custody.

The Federation has also boosted its staff something that has also generated tremendous achievements.
