Following the arrest of Dr. Byarugaba Baterana on allegations of embezzlement, the PS, Ministry of Health, Dr. Diana Atwine has interdicted him from the position of Executive Director, Mulago Hospital and directed him to immediately hand over Office to his deputy, Dr. Rosemary Byanyima.
Who Is She?
Byanyima was born in Ibanda district to Joseph Byanyima and Constance Byanyima (RIP).
She attended Immaculate Heart Nyakibale Secondary School for O level and Trinity College Nabbingo for A’ level.
In 1991, Byanyima graduated from Makerere University with a first degree in Medicine. She also has a master’s degree in Radiology.
She has an Executive master’s degree in business administration from ESAMI.
Medical officer psychiatry department in 1993 at Mulago Hospital.
She became a senior consult in 2012.
She is blessed with two children; a son who is also medical doctor and the daughter who is in her final her studying civil engineering.
