Gen. Muhoozi, Min. Tumwebaze Endorse Babu’s Bid For Kampala MP Seat

The Presidential Adviser on Special Operations Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba and the minister for Gender, Labour and Social Development, have both endorsed Cedric Ndilima Babu’s political ambitions.

Babu, who is son of former Minister Captain Francis Babu and his ex-wife Olive Kigongo, is vying for the Kampala Central Member of Parliament in the 2021 general election on National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticked and intends to oust Mohammed Nsereko.

While expressing his support for Babu, Gen Muhoozi tweeted thus on Saturday; “Me and my brother (Cedric Babu), all those who believe in a Uganda that is greater than tribe and political orientation will support him for MP Kampala Central. The future of Uganda is in a new generation that knows no tribe or language.”

He accompanied the tweet with a picture of him and Babu at parliament which was taken some time back.

In reply to Gen. Muhoozi’s tweet, Minister Tumwebaze tweeted thus; “Great guy Cedric.  @CedricNdilima. He has my prayers & support too. Thank u MK (@mkainerugaba) for bolstering the will & ambitions of Generational comrades! (https://semidotinfotech.com) ”

While replying to Gen. Muhoozi and Tumbwebaze’s tweet, Babu expressed gratitude by tweeting that; “Most people out here showing love…Much appreciated! For the few who trying to steal peoples joy I am just going to keep smiling & if you don’t like it . #EkibugaKyaffe”

Babu currently works with Uganda Broadcasting Corporation as Head of Content and is also the host of the Cedric Live Show on UBC TV.

He is also the Chairman of Uganda Tennis Association and Chairman of the marketing commission of the Uganda Olympic Committee.
